Makes a great gift idea for Vietnam Veterans
In March of 1970, CBS News reporter Richard Threlkeld was installed with a unit watching the jungles of Vietnam close to Cambodia. The GI’s experienced a firfight from North Vietnamese powers as Threlkeld’s group reported the extreme firefight. This original report broadcast on the “CBS Evening News” on March 27, 1970.
“Hero” received his 4th purple hear for this incident. We have been told he did not return to the field after this incident but we cannot confirm the to 100% true.
