Appreciating our Vietnam Veterans
The war in Vietnam, or sometimes referred to as the “conflict” in Vietnam was a decisive point in the relationship between citizens and their government in the USA. It was a different kind of war, one that made it’s way into our living rooms on the news each evening, into our public spaces as protests roared and into our hearts as we all lost someone we knew or loved.
The soldiers and medics that went to Southeast sia at this time were courageous and should be held in the highest respect. Though the war was unpopular among the masses these brave men and women served their country and came home to ridicule from their own people, simply for following their orders and doing what they were told.
Let’s celebrate these mighty hearted men and women and do what we can each day to show them that they are appreciated.
